Pre-sessional Programs

If you cannot score as per the requirement in one or more aspects of the English proficiency test, you will have to take a pre-sessional English programs and clear it before your actual study starts. This program can last for up to three months and is based on the component with low bands for the English language.

Foundation

After O-levels or intermediate, a student can opt for a foundation course. This course provides a base for studying the courses in bachelors. The length of the course is one year. A student must have a minimum of 50 per cent grade in a previous course to get enrolled. The English proficiency should be equal to at least 5.5 bands in IELTS. The UK’s universities majorly offer this course.

Bachelors

After the foundation course, the bachelor’s course is taken by the students. However, if a student has A-level education previously, they can also get enrolled. The usual length of this course is four years, but the duration is three years in the UK. The minimum English proficiency should be equal to at least 5.5 bands in each and overall 6.0 in IELTS.

Top-up Programmes

If a student has a two-year bachelor’s, they can be given a chance to get admission in the 2nd or 3rd year of bachelor’s, which is also known as the top-up program. The minimum English proficiency should be equal to at least 6.0 bands in IELTS.

Masters

After completing the bachelor’s, a student can get enrolled in a master’s program. The minimum requirement for the course is holding a 4-years bachelor’s course or equivalent education. The minimum English proficiency should be equal to at least 6.0 – 6.5 bands in IELTS.

Masters with Placement Year

If a student wants to have extended knowledge and professional experience during a master’s, they can opt for placement years in some courses, subject to availability. The minimum English proficiency should be equal to at least 6.0 – 6.5 bands in IELTS.

Extended Programmes

Extended programs are also offered with masters if a student has a weak academic background. These courses are also subject to availability. The minimum English proficiency should be equal to at least 6.0 bands in IELTS.

Sandwich Programmes

Sandwich programmes may be based on more than one specialisation and the practical knowledge achieved during placements and professional working. The minimum English proficiency should be equal to at least 6.0 bands in IELTS.
